Independent guide, not a government website. How we verify

About Workforce Offices

Workforce Offices is an independent directory of American Job Centers and state workforce and unemployment offices in the United States. It is not a government website and is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Labor, any state agency or any workforce board.

Where the data comes from

We list 1,890 offices. Each one comes from an official state, regional or local workforce source: state locators, open data layers, official PDF directories and workforce board pages. Every office page names the source and the date we checked it. State unemployment information (claim website, phone, documents, work search, benefit amounts) comes from each state agency and from the U.S. Department of Labor comparison of state laws effective July 2026.

How we verify

  • We publish only what an official source says. If a field is not published, we say "not published" instead of guessing.
  • A day without published hours is shown as "not listed", never as closed.
  • We do not treat a job center as an unemployment office unless the source says it helps with claims.
  • Offices whose only sources look out of date are held back until we can re-check them. They are not shown.
  • Map pins are placed at the street address with the U.S. Census geocoder; when that fails we use the ZIP or town center and mark distances with "≈".
  • We re-check the data every 14 days.

Who we are

The site is edited by Agustín Mendez (Pinamar, Argentina). AI tools help with drafting; every listing and guide is reviewed against its official source before publishing.
